Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design, code, modify, debug, integrate, and enhance complex software systems.
- Implement backend services and APIs using Java and develop web applications using JavaScript frameworks.
- Develop algorithms, data queries, database interfaces, and software solutions for malware analysis and enrichment services.
- Create and configure virtual machines, images, and virtual-environment networking, including Python automation for VM setup.
- Review and test software components, execute test procedures, resolve software problem reports, and document results.
- Develop and review system and software documentation and recommend process improvements.
- Support software installation, system integration, performance monitoring, and hardware/software trade-off analysis.
- Coordinate or lead software development activities and perform quality control on team products.
Requirements
- Fourteen years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; four additional years of comparable software engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
- Current TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph, including the required PRIVAC level or a qualifying polygraph within the past seven years.
- U.S. citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are required by the federal contract.
- Experience working in virtual environments, including creating virtual machines, images, and virtual-environment networking.
- Python scripting experience for automating virtual machine setup.
- Experience with Atlassian tools, Git, and IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE.
- Ability to multitask and pivot quickly between tasks.
- Kotlin, Spring or Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Java application development experience are desired.
