Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications.
- Perform automated and manual verification to ensure software meets functional and performance requirements.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions.
- Document software designs, implementation decisions, and test outcomes.
- Deliver reliable, high-quality software within project timelines.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects and customer-reported issues.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and quality engineering teams.
Requirements
- Experience with C++ and/or Python for application and test software development.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong software design, code review, debugging, and testing skills.
- Currently undertaking a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or possessing equivalent practical experience; must be in the final or penultimate year of study.
- Preferred: experience with Embedded C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Preferred: exposure to embedded or real-time systems.
- Preferred: experience with Test-Driven Development and automated testing methodologies.
- Preferred: exposure to Jenkins and GitHub Actions workflow tools.
- Preferred: responsible and effective use of AI tools with a focus on quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, learning, and continuous-improvement skills.
