Principal Solutions Architect

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact and owner for assigned strategic customer accounts.
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ use cases, architectures, teams, processes, and business goals.
- Lead technical issue resolution and provide hands-on troubleshooting in collaboration with the support organization.
- Drive product adoption by identifying new use cases and opportunities to increase customer value.
- Advise customers on best practices for using Solo.io products in their environments.
- Develop and deliver customer training sessions and workshops.
- Advocate for customers and provide feedback to product management and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with account teams to manage risks and opportunities related to adoption, renewal, and expansion.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Site Reliability Engineer, or Senior Support Engineer.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, service mesh such as Istio, and API gateways such as Envoy.
- Experience in a post-sales role focused on customer success and adoption.
- Proven ability to manage technical relationships with large, strategic customers.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Go, Python, or Bash is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
