Responsibilities
- Build gameplay systems and creator tools that enable new narrative workflows and faster iteration.
- Collaborate with writers, narrative teams, and designers to translate creative needs into technical tooling.
- Research and prototype AI-driven narrative systems, including quest generation, reactive dialogue, and authoring tools.
- Design and run lightweight experiments evaluating creative AI applications.
- Prototype AI-native gameplay mechanics that preserve authorial intent while enabling emergence and reactivity.
- Evaluate different degrees of AI autonomy and help define quality standards for AI-assisted storytelling.
- Mature successful experimental features into robust solutions.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with machine learning or LLM applications through a research or engineering background.
- Genuine passion for narrative and storytelling across games, film, interactive fiction, or related areas.
- Curiosity and comfort working in ambiguous, exploratory problem spaces.
- A creator mindset focused on building tools that make others more effective.
- Ability to collaborate with writers and designers and translate creative goals into technical solutions.
- Professional English communication skills.
- Bonus: experience with Unreal Engine or C++.
- Bonus: experience with narrative systems, quest pipelines, or other creator-driven game features.
- Bonus: background in ML, NLP, generative models, or evaluation methodologies.
- Bonus: Python experience or interest in working across engine, services, and tooling.
