Responsibilities
- Provision, manage, and drive lifecycle management for Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, GCP, managed clusters, and self-hosted environments.
- Design and implement core cloud, network, and security services for public safety cloud solutions.
- Operate cloud and sovereign platforms, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Define and meet scalability, availability, security, and performance goals.
- Deploy and manage application manifests using Helm charts.
- Develop Python and Bash automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle operations.
- Build, maintain, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain monitoring stacks and infrastructure visibility.
- Research platform technologies, architectures, and standards and integrate agentic AI concepts into operational monitoring and automation.
- Collaborate with product and application teams, document systems, support testing and audits, and own end-to-end delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of combined experience in network engineering, security, or cloud/DevOps engineering.
- Experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes managed clusters including EKS, AKS, and GKE, as well as self-hosted environments.
- Deep familiarity with Helm and fundamental or expert-level Python and Bash automation.
- Foundational understanding of agentic AI concepts and proficiency with GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor, or Claude.
- Experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud monitoring tools, L3/L4 networking, load balancers, firewalls, Linux administration, IAM, Active Directory, NGINX, and DNS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include advanced Python development, production agentic AI frameworks such as CrewAI, LangChain, AWS Strands, or Google ADK, MCP server development, Terraform, GitOps, serverless architectures, and relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or Cloud Architect Solutions.
