Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own technical security improvements across AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems, including making production changes directly.
- Design, implement, and iterate on SIEM, EDR/MDR, cloud-native detection, and CNAPP capabilities.
- Hunt, investigate, and respond to security alerts and suspicious activity from triage through recovery and post-incident learnings.
- Write detection logic, tooling, playbooks, and response automations to prevent recurrence and reduce operational toil.
- Build internal security tooling and integrations using infrastructure-as-code, scripts, and automation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience, ideally in a cloud-first SaaS environment.
- Hands-on cloud security engineering experience with AWS and/or GCP, including IAM, networking, compute, storage, and logging.
- Experience securing Kubernetes and container ecosystems through cluster hardening, workload isolation, runtime security, and policy controls.
- Knowledge of CI/CD security, secrets management, artifact integrity, and secure-by-default DevOps platform patterns.
- Incident response and investigation experience, including repeatable playbooks and automated response.
- Strong programming or scripting ability, such as Python, and experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform.
- Experience with endpoint security tooling such as CrowdStrike and serious agent coding.
- Experience with security tools such as Hunters, Wiz, Falcon, Tracebit, Torii, Okta, Google Workspace, StrongDM, GitHub, StepSecurity, or Dope Security is a bonus.
- Relevant information security certifications such as AWS Certified Security, GIAC GWEB, OSCP, or CSSLP are a bonus.
- Experience in a fast-growing startup, scale-up, or SaaS company.
