Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack features using React on the frontend and Java/Spring Boot services on the backend under senior-engineer guidance.
- Maintain C#/.NET applications and MS SQL databases while assisting migration efforts to Java/Spring Boot and PostgreSQL.
- Write PostgreSQL queries and assist with database schema work to support performance and data integrity.
- Create and maintain APIs integrated with React frontends while following data governance policies.
- Implement enhancements, write maintainable code, troubleshoot frontend and backend issues, and participate in code reviews.
- Write and maintain unit tests and use AI-assisted tools for code generation, documentation, testing, code review, and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay current with relevant technologies and AI/LLM capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of professional software development experience or equivalent experience.
- Foundational knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL and relational database concepts; PostgreSQL exposure is a plus.
- Understanding of web application and API security principles and experience with Git.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, automated testing, responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills, with comfort using AI throughout software development.
