Responsibilities
- Conduct regular penetration tests, ethical hacking activities, application security assessments, and secure code reviews.
- Advise on the setup and maintenance of applications and infrastructure, typically hosted in AWS and Kubernetes.
- Triage, remediate, and track monitoring events and contribute to SOC incident-response activities.
- Optimize and automate security review processes, including Python scripting, attack infrastructure, and security scans in GitLab CI.
- Support threat modeling, secure system architecture, red-teaming operations, and offensive security strategies.
- Participate in occasional 24/7 on-call coverage.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in Application Security.
- Ability to perform active application security assessments and penetration tests.
- Python development and scripting experience; PHP, JavaScript, or Go are preferred or relevant.
- Knowledge of threat modeling, security engineering practices, and secure code reviews across cloud environments.
- Experience with incident response, Web Application Firewalls, CDN providers, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines is relevant.
- Certifications such as OSCP or OSWP are desirable.
- Knowledge of Laravel/PHP and the ability to read JavaScript and Go are desirable.
