Responsibilities
- Embed with trading desks to understand problem spaces, domain models, requirements, and trade-offs.
- Build specialized trading solutions and maintain and extend the central trading platform.
- Own products from prototype through stable production.
- Work across greenfield and legacy systems using C++, Python, and TypeScript.
- Develop ergonomic, performant, extendable, concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
Requirements
- Up to 7 years of experience using C++ and Python and comfort working across multiple programming languages.
- Experience working directly with end customers to scope and deliver production systems in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Ability to solve complex problems, identify risks early, and minimize complexity.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills when working with stakeholders and engineers.
- Experience in financial markets, especially delta-one store-of-value and/or FICC options trading.
- Experience with Linux-based, concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency software systems.
- Functional programming experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
