Base Salary
$87k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and productionize machine learning models and intelligent AI applications.
- Design and implement scalable Java software, microservices, APIs, systems, and services.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into implementation plans and propose architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
- Provide global production support, troubleshoot application-layer and OCI service issues, and improve playbooks, alerts, monitoring, and observability.
- Partner with QA to define unit and integration testing strategies and implement functional and non-functional testing.
- Lead code reviews, establish coding and development standards, and apply secure coding practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional feature delivery.
- Define API contracts, versioning, lifecycle, interoperability strategies, and service dependencies.
- Use incidents, telemetry, customer feedback, and product issues to recommend priorities and enhancements.
- Perform maintenance, patching, debugging, profiling, and optimization to improve service availability and health.
Requirements
- Senior-level hands-on software engineering and technical leadership experience developing application software and services.
- Experience developing and productionizing machine learning and AI solutions, including NLP, large language models, or generative AI applications.
- Experience with Java microservice orchestration, API integration, software architecture, testing, monitoring, and observability.
- Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex application, API, integration, service-to-service, and cloud-service issues.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable designs and implementation plans.
- Experience with code reviews, secure coding, software quality practices, debugging, performance optimization, and production support.
- Ability to mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, support customers, and independently manage deliverables.
- Ability to work with ML systems, deployment, monitoring, optimization, and MLOps practices.
