Responsibilities

  • Use and improve internal tools to identify vulnerable code patterns in real-world software.
  • Perform binary analysis and instrumentation, including static and dynamic analysis.
  • Develop software to scale and prioritize vulnerability research efforts.
  • Solve challenging technical problems for Defense and Homeland Security customers.

Requirements

  • Write code in Python and at least one compiled language, preferably C.
  • Have a strong foundation in low-level systems concepts, including memory layout, CPU architecture, operating system internals, or compiler behavior.
  • Have experience with vulnerability research, binary analysis, and reverse engineering through coursework, online wargames, CTF competitions, or related platforms.
  • Have used tools such as IDA, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or debuggers during academic or practical exercises.
  • Have familiarity with exploit mitigations, cryptographic concepts, and protocol behavior.
  • Be able and willing to obtain a US security clearance; an active clearance is not required.
