Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test software infrastructure and tools using LabVIEW, VeriStand, and Python.
- Develop instrumentation and controls hardware, test fixture GUIs, LabVIEW VIs, and other tools for test execution and automation.
- Collaborate with testing, design, software, systems, simulation, certification, and other engineering teams to define software requirements for test assets.
- Execute hardware, software, and specialized test equipment integration tests for mission profiles, emergency response, Safety of Flight clearance, and requirements verification.
- Maintain configuration control of software under test and test equipment hardware and software, including calibration records.
- Analyze test data and generate reports that provide quantifiable feedback and help optimize designs.
- Develop and execute strategies to meet team milestones, quality requirements, and financial requirements while managing multiple integration efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering.
- Expertise developing hardware-in-the-loop, simulation-based, and/or hardware-software integration tests.
- Fluency developing LabVIEW VIs for data collection, automation, control, and real-time applications.
- Fluency using VeriStand software.
- Proficiency with Linux environments such as Ubuntu and Python scripting for test support, automation, or data processing.
- Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and sensors.
- Experience with LabVIEW workflows, releases, Git, and software team management.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of network architecture; experience with high-voltage systems, electronics, test laboratory environments and procedures; LabVIEW Runtime, Real-Time, and FPGA experience; and aircraft certification or compliance experience involving ARP 4754, DO-178, regulatory requirements, aircraft software engineering processes, and test verification.
