Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development, release, and continuous improvement of the DORS Automation product.
- Define and align the product roadmap with customer needs, market demands, and NOV’s strategic objectives.
- Gather customer and sales requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, implement, and test new process-control software functionality using C++ and C#.
- Integrate third-party automation tools and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, aftermarket, customers, and external partners.
- Maintain product documentation, release notes, and technical manuals.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot deployed solutions.
- Drive software engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience in industrial automation.
- Proficiency in C++ and C#.
- Strong understanding of process-control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI.
- Experience integrating third-party automation APIs and SDKs.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex software products on schedule.
- Strong communication skills for working with customers and sales teams.
- Ability to work in a multinational, matrix-organized environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in oil and gas automation.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian.
