Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect and implement major features across FOX News iOS and tvOS applications.
- Drive technical strategy for mobile platform architecture, modularization, build performance, developer tooling, and long-term evolution.
- Mentor and grow senior and mid-level engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, pair programming, and architectural guidance.
- Partner with Product, Design, Backend, and Editorial teams to define requirements and deliver mobile features.
- Own application performance, reliability, observability, and crash-free-rate targets across iOS and tvOS.
- Adopt modern Apple frameworks and APIs, including SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, WidgetKit, Live Activities, and CarPlay.
- Design and maintain shared component libraries, networking layers, dependency-injection infrastructure, and reusable platform services.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party analytics, advertising, video, and community SDKs.
- Establish standards for architecture, automated testing, CI/CD, release management, and code quality.
- Build internal developer tools and automations, including AI-powered solutions where appropriate.
- Contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis, and production triage for mobile issues.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional iOS development experience, including at least 2 years as a Staff Engineer, Technical Lead, or in a comparable technical leadership role.
- Expert-level Swift proficiency, including async/await, actors, and structured concurrency.
- Deep experience architecting, building, and shipping large-scale consumer applications on the App Store.
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture, including MVVM, Coordinator patterns, modular and multi-target project structures, dependency injection, and scalable application design.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, OpenCode, or similar tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and mentor engineers at multiple levels.
- Experience with video playback, streaming technologies, and media frameworks on Apple platforms.
- Strong experience with XCTest, XCUITest, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and release management.
- Demonstrated ability to build developer tooling or automation that improves team efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence engineering and business stakeholders.
- Experience with internal developer platforms, engineering productivity tools, or workflow automations is preferred.
- Experience with Swift Package Manager and modular codebases is preferred.
- Familiarity with Apple's latest frameworks and platform capabilities is preferred.
- Experience in digital media, publishing, or content-driven consumer applications is preferred.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI services into internal developer tools is preferred.
Benefits
- Annual base pay range is $160,000.00-$205,000.00.
