Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and operation of Microsoft Azure infrastructure for compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM Templates.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.
- Support application containerization with Docker and deployment of containerized workloads.
- Deploy and operate Kubernetes-based platforms, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Apply GitOps principles and support deployment automation with ArgoCD.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes.
- Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational improvements across development, test, and production environments.
- Contribute to reusable DevOps standards, automation patterns, documentation, and technical guidelines.
- Work with architects and senior engineers to implement secure, scalable, and maintainable platform solutions.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a comparable technical role.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure or strong motivation to develop Azure expertise.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and version-controlled deployment approaches.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Basic to strong knowledge of container technologies such as Docker.
- Understanding of Kubernetes concepts and container orchestration.
- Initial experience with or strong interest in GitOps and deployment automation using ArgoCD.
- Good understanding of cloud fundamentals, networking, identity, and security concepts.
- Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, or comparable technologies.
- Very good written and spoken German and English.
- Preferred experience with AKS, Red Hat OpenShift, Terraform, Bicep, Helm, Kustomize, Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, Internal Developer Platforms, monitoring, logging, observability, Cloud Security, governance, DevSecOps, or Microsoft Azure and DevOps certifications.
