Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, coding, testing, and debugging of software components and systems.
- Develop tools and applications supporting Counter Unmanned Air Systems.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to integrate and test capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, version control, and defect tracking.
- Develop scripts or automation to improve team workflows and efficiency.
- Support prototypes, simulations, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Contribute to software development planning, effort estimation, team meetings, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Python, C++, or Java.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, Eclipse, or similar integrated development environments.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred qualifications include software development or system administration experience on Linux, exposure to web technologies or backend services, interest in drone technology or RF communications, familiarity with Git and continuous integration/development pipelines, and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; preference is given to students at the junior level or above.
- Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for approval of an export license; some positions require current U.S. citizenship.
