Senior Software Engineer (.NET)
Genius SportsResponsibilities
- Build highly distributed, real-time, dynamically scaling systems for Sportsbook and Risk Management products.
- Innovate, architect, deliver, and maintain production software with measurable business impact.
- Lead execution of multi-sprint features or systems.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, QA Engineers, and a Product Manager in a multidisciplinary squad.
- Apply data-driven experimentation and validation to solve complex technical and product problems.
- Mentor engineers within and outside the immediate team.
Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Python, PHP, Golang, or C++.
- Ability to work across the service stack, including front-end, back-end, and infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of software design principles and software architecture for scalable, fault-tolerant, observable microservices and systems.
- Detailed knowledge of testing methodology and experience designing resilient testing suites.
- Experience with source control, continuous integration, pipeline design, containerized workloads, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with messaging and asynchronous communication technologies such as RabbitMQ and Pulsar.
- Understanding of data structures, databases, and caching technologies.
- Ability to clarify complex domains, challenge unclear requirements, lead alignment discussions, and identify edge cases.
- Experience mentoring engineers within and outside the immediate team.
- Expert knowledge of C# is advantageous.
- Knowledge of operating Kubernetes clusters and building cloud-native applications with AWS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of front-end web technologies such as React and shadcn is advantageous.
- Domain Driven Design knowledge, mathematical aptitude particularly in statistics, data engineering skills, and production-grade Agentic AI experience are advantageous.
- Excellent spoken and written English, collaboration skills, curiosity, and the ability to work effectively in a remote-first engineering organization are expected.
