Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Support global embedded software and electronics development teams.
- Execute validation and verification processes for embedded software and controls in John Deere Construction & Forestry products.
- Analyze and approve software requirements and design and execute test plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform testing on machines, in simulated environments, and on benches.
- Develop test automation tools, test cases, and automated testing scripts.
- Work with system and software engineers to resolve issues found during testing.
Requirements
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills for troubleshooting software, electrical, and mechanical issues.
- Understanding of real-time embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware/software interactions.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication networks and diagnostics, including CAN/J1939 protocols.
- Demonstrated project leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed mode and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering with a Computer Science minor, or equivalent related work experience.
- Preferred experience includes software testing, automation, Hardware-in-Loop, Software-in-Loop, Model-in-Loop, black-box testing, Python tool development, embedded software with C/C++, and control systems with MATLAB Simulink or similar.
- Preferred experience includes automotive, aviation, or off-road mobile equipment software development; construction technology such as grade control, GNSS, and telematics; and operation of construction, forestry, or agricultural off-road equipment.
