Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Windows Local AI, Windows ML, model deployment, and hardware-accelerated inference on AMD Ryzen AI platforms.
- Partner with Microsoft and internal AMD teams to validate Windows AI scenarios, address platform gaps, and communicate customer and developer requirements.
- Support escalated OEM and ISV technical issues by reproducing problems, leading triage, isolating root causes, and recommending workarounds.
- Develop and maintain customer-facing Ryzen AI documentation, including architecture guidance, installation content, tutorials, samples, troubleshooting material, and release updates.
- Create reference applications, sample code, diagnostic utilities, and technical collateral for deploying AI workloads on Windows.
- Plan and execute competitive analysis and benchmarking across AMD and competing AI PC platforms and communicate findings to engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience in AI inference solutions, applications engineering, software engineering, benchmarking or performance engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong hands-on programming and debugging skills in Python and C/C++ on Windows.
- Practical experience with AI/ML inference workflows and frameworks such as PyTorch, ONNX, ONNX Runtime, or Hugging Face.
- Experience writing developer documentation, technical tutorials, sample code, or customer-facing engineering guides.
- Working knowledge of performance analysis, benchmarking methodology, workload characterization, and results interpretation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical findings to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or a related equivalent.
- Experience building AI applications on Windows laptops is preferred.
- Ability to apply AI tools and technologies to improve problem solving, software quality, and productivity.
