Base Salary
$204k - $281k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead, design, and develop security capabilities for vulnerability lifecycle management and workflow automation.
- Own, maintain, and enhance Plaid’s vulnerability management orchestration service.
- Design and build security controls, services, libraries, frameworks, and internal tooling for product and engineering teams.
- Automate vulnerability detection, dependency management, and remediation workflows within development pipelines.
- Consult with product engineers and help teams meet security standards through secure-by-default integrations.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities in products and services.
- Participate in incident response and security awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with security platform members and communicate project deliverables and progress to managers and team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building and scaling production services.
- Ability to architect and build software systems that meet security, privacy, usability, scalability, and cost requirements.
- Preferred experience with vulnerability management, data encryption, key management, secret management, authentication, authorization, and security policy enforcement.
- Preferred experience designing distributed systems and microservices with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Preferred familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and integrating security controls into cloud infrastructure.
- Interest in creating tools and libraries for other engineers and educating others on security and privacy.
