Base Salary
$165k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, integration, and testing of flight computer software for space missions.
- Integrate complex GNC algorithms with flight software.
- Define and maintain the Command Telemetry Database for ground testing, on-orbit testing, and missions.
- Collaborate with the ground C2 software team.
- Support spacecraft command scripting and sequencing.
- Design and implement satellite subsystem model simulators in HITL/SITL environments.
- Develop reusable device drivers, hardware interfaces, and communications protocol libraries for flight hardware.
- Contribute across spacecraft program phases including design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least six years of experience with low-level firmware architecture, design, and development.
- Experience with low-level device drivers and safety-critical systems.
- Experience with embedded RTOS such as RTLinux or Azure RTOS.
- Familiarity with Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS422, and RS485 protocols.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Twelve or more years of experience developing or producing flight software for space applications is preferred.
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts is preferred.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux, UDP, and TCP/IP is preferred.
- Experience with embedded systems tools, compilers, debuggers, IDEs, microcontrollers, and application processors is preferred.
- Experience with revision control systems and debugging using oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers is preferred.
- Application experience in robotics, automation, motor control, or sensor fusion is preferred.
- Candidates must satisfy applicable U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR requirements.
Benefits
- Base salary of $165,000-$290,000.

- Onsite role based near Denver, Colorado, or Long Beach, California.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or applicable authorization is required under ITAR regulations.
