Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, scope, implement, integrate, and test dataplane features and performance optimizations running on the EC2 Nitro System.
- Develop performance and availability improvements for machine learning workloads across HPC and accelerated EC2 platforms.
- Improve development processes, tools, automation, and engineering quality standards.
- Influence coding and design practices and advocate for technical solutions that shape the team roadmap.
- Mentor junior engineers on scoping, design, and development of scalable, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, TPMs, and cross-functional teams on requirements, architectures, and implementation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: embedded development experience in C or C++.
- Preferred: experience writing low-level drivers.
- Preferred: knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles.
