Responsibilities
- Build digital products used by John Deere factories to manage manufacturing operations, assembly lines, logistics, and factory operations.
- Develop software using programming languages, relational databases, APIs/web services, and front-end technologies.
- Work with containerization, observability, deployment pipelines, and intelligent-edge deployments.
- Learn additional skills and contribute to enterprise digital products used globally.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or another applicable field.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at UIUC and have a graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Available to work 15–20 hours weekly during the academic year and 30–40 hours weekly during the summer semester.
- Must be able to commute weekly year-round to the onsite Champaign, Illinois location; relocation assistance is not provided.
- Experience with at least one of C#, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with a relational database management system such as MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, or Oracle DB.
- Experience creating APIs or web services and developing front-end applications.
- Preferred experience includes ReactJS with Redux, GitHub, Jenkins, Drone, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Agile software development.
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
