Responsibilities
- Define and lead the development of data-intensive enhancements for Elasticsearch.
- Research and implement the latest features, data structures, and algorithms.
- Collaborate with partners and product teams to understand user needs.
- Drive the technical roadmap for ES|QL and the compute engine.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers.
- Work autonomously on projects from design to implementation.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical projects in data and enterprise architecture.
- Strong mentoring skills for guiding expert engineers.
- Experience defining long-term technical visions for data-intensive applications.
- Hands-on experience with search and analytics APIs.
- Proficient in core Java and familiar with data structures and concurrency.
- Experience with data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, or PostgreSQL.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
