Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives and channel or SI partners to identify, qualify, and win new-logo opportunities across Japan.
- Drive cross-sell and expansion by mapping Acquia’s DXP portfolio to strategic customers’ digital roadmaps.
- Translate technical solutions into clear business outcomes, return on investment, and value for technical and business stakeholders.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, presentations, custom demonstrations, and proofs of concept for DXP solutions.
- Enable partners to position and present Acquia products in customer pitches and events.
- Represent Acquia at industry events, webinars, and community gatherings across Japan.
- Synthesize customer and market feedback for Acquia’s Product and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, pre-sales, or as a deeply technical Account Executive transitioning into Solutions Engineering.
- Experience selling or pre-selling an enterprise CMS, DXP, or comparable vendor-agnostic SaaS platform; Drupal experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of modern web architectures, DXP and web application deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP, APIs, and security fundamentals.
- Proven ability to work with partners and channel organizations to source and win business.
- Strong technical presentation and demonstration skills across technical and business audiences.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English, including written Japanese RFP and proof-of-concept work.
- Ability to work autonomously, collaborate across time zones, and maintain visibility with distributed managers and teams.
- Experience with a major programming language and hands-on technical prototyping is preferred.
- Experience in global or strategic account programs and published articles, white papers, or major conference presentations is preferred.
