Base Salary
$180k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build scalable, highly-available, high-throughput systems in cloud environments.
- Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput search APIs and indexing pipelines.
- Evaluate and evolve the search technology stack and drive technical design decisions.
- Solve problems related to containers, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure as code.
- Lead end-to-end work from design to production and customer delivery.
- Detect and investigate anomalies in system performance and data freshness.
- Write highly readable and thoroughly tested code.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and client stakeholders to enhance search experience.
- Mentor teammates and elevate system design and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and experience with AWS.
- Experience designing and operating high-scale backend systems or APIs.
- Demonstrated expertise in distributed systems, information retrieval, or high-scale API development.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to solve common problems.
- Effective communication of technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Thrives in collaborative environments with strong ownership.
- Driven to work with customers to make a real-world impact.
