Responsibilities
- Define cloud architecture, technical strategy, and engineering standards across enterprise platforms.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, highly available AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, including Amazon EKS environments.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, platform engineering, automation, CI/CD, and pipeline-driven infrastructure delivery.
- Lead cloud governance, security, compliance automation, operational excellence, and continuous compliance initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and escalation support across engineering teams while mentoring engineers.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams to align technology investments with business objectives.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities, AI-powered cloud services, and AI-assisted engineering tools into cloud operations.
- Drive enterprise cloud modernization, cost optimization, reliability, and responsible AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions and leading cloud transformation initiatives.
- Expert-level experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, cloud-native infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Deep expertise with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, platform automation, containerization, cloud operations, networking, security, compliance, reliability, and governance.
- Experience with AI/ML capabilities, Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI agents, AI-powered cloud services, and responsible AI practices.
- Ability to influence technical direction, make architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience in payments, financial services, FinTech, or other regulated industries is preferred.
- Advanced AWS, Kubernetes, or cloud platform certifications; enterprise cloud transformation, FinOps, cloud cost optimization, continuous compliance, Windows administration, or industry thought leadership experience are preferred.
