Base Salary
$108k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve coding-agent systems for code generation, transformation, debugging, optimization, validation, and developer assistance.
- Develop agent workflows involving tool use, planning, memory, execution, and feedback loops for software engineering and compiler tasks.
- Create training, evaluation, and verification environments to improve agent quality, correctness, robustness, and usefulness.
- Develop systems that reason about source code, intermediate representations, low-level performance behavior, and optimization opportunities across GPU workloads.
- Collaborate with compiler, CUDA, runtime, library, and hardware teams to productize agentic and compiler-aware capabilities.
- Analyze failures, investigate correctness issues, and improve system reliability, scalability, and production performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Academic, research, or internship experience in coding agents, AI systems, machine learning systems, developer tools, compilers, programming systems, or high-performance computing.
- Strong Python and C/C++ programming skills and solid software engineering fundamentals.
- Strong interest in coding agents, agent systems, compiler automation, AI-assisted software engineering, or program analysis.
- Exposure to compilers, LLVM/MLIR, program analysis, code generation, CUDA, GPU programming, parallel computing, or performance optimization is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across software layers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with Rust, coding assistants, software engineering agents, autonomous developer tools, AI-assisted programming workflows, compiler infrastructure, evaluation or verification systems, CUDA, GPU systems, or performance tuning is a plus.
- Publications, open-source contributions, or strong academic projects in coding agents, AI systems, compilers, programming systems, or high-performance computing are advantageous.
