Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and operate containerized systems in air-gapped environments.
- Build and optimize production CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and refine Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation.
- Administer Kubernetes clusters, including lifecycle management and day-two operations.
- Support cloud-native architectures and enterprise automation using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services.
- Embed security, observability, and reliability into platform and delivery systems.
- Mentor active-duty military personnel and government civilians through coaching, technical exchanges, and labs.
- Prototype and evaluate AI-enabled capabilities, including LLM API, RAG, and automation-assistant use cases.
- Support regulated DoD or intelligence-community environments and cybersecurity engineering processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in IT, systems engineering, or software engineering.
- At least 2 years of DevOps or DevSecOps experience, including building and operating production CI/CD pipelines.
- Production Kubernetes administration experience, including cluster lifecycle management and day-two operations.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Linux administration, RHEL or Ubuntu, Python, and Bash.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience supporting regulated environments such as the DoD or intelligence community, including air-gapped environments and cybersecurity engineering processes.
- Experience with basic AI prototyping, including LLM APIs, RAG workflows, automation assistants, and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- HS diploma or GED.
- DoD 8140 or 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Preferred experience with Platform One, Big Bang, Iron Bank, Kessel Run, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch, Istio, ArgoCD, Flux, Harbor, Nautobot, NetBox, Cisco automation, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Scrum, SAFe, military or tactical IT systems, cloud certifications, CKA/CKS, RHCSA/RHCE, Terraform Associate, GitLab CI, or CISSP.
