Base Salary
$108k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Debug complex software products through systematic testing and maintain product quality standards.
- Perform software tests on code and enhancements with limited supervision.
- Write test standards and procedures and maintain documentation of test results.
- Analyze test results, recommend corrective actions, and consult with development engineers on problem resolution.
- Support technical evaluations of programming languages, systems, and computational software.
- Ensure software integration with scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing functions.
- Assist in technically leading or executing software test projects.
Requirements
- Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in software quality assurance and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
- Knowledge of best practices and how the software quality function integrates with related areas.
- Ability to solve complex problems using analysis from multiple information sources and exercise judgment.
- Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.
- Ability to act as a resource for less-experienced colleagues and potentially lead small projects.
