Responsibilities
- Develop simulation environments for controls development and testing using FMU/FMI standards and reduced-order models.
- Create reduced-order models from real or synthetic unit, system, and environmental data.
- Support digital-twin development and implementation and maintain FMU packages for simulation deployment.
- Investigate and implement machine-learning, reinforcement-learning, model-predictive-control, and other data-based control strategies.
- Develop, train, and validate ML models for adaptive thermal control, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection.
- Deploy ML inference pipelines on Linux-based industrial platforms.
- Integrate equipment and simulations using MQTT, Modbus, CAN, pub-sub messaging, and APIs including REST and HTTP/REST.
- Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers on intelligent system control strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering, with strong emphasis on software.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming.
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with Git/GitLab, Linux, and Docker/containerization.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including MQTT, Modbus, and CAN.
