Responsibilities
- Build deep learning and machine learning technology to personalize Pinterest.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to experiment with and improve ML models across Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search.
- Use data-driven methods to improve candidate retrieval.
- Build and operate data processing pipelines and large-scale machine learning systems.
- Work in a rapid experimentation and product launch environment while tracking recommendation-system trends.
Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience applying machine learning methods, including user modeling, personalization, recommender systems, search, ranking, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, or graph representation learning.
- End-to-end hands-on experience building data processing pipelines, large-scale machine learning systems, and big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include publications at top ML conferences, expertise in scalable real-time stream-processing systems, and an MS or PhD in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Cursor, Copilot, Codex, or similar AI coding assistants and familiarity with LLM-powered productivity tools are preferred.
