Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated solution test plans, test procedures, and automation tools for customer solutions.
- Test hardware and software against system requirements and interface specifications.
- Participate in solution-level, system-requirements, operational-scenario, and use-case reviews.
- Apply a System-of-Systems mindset to test integrated solutions across multiple systems and subsystems.
- Preserve regression-cycle execution results and reporting, manage test artifacts, and log defects.
- Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality and consistency in test-procedure development.
- Contribute to estimating integrated solution testing scope for current and upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support the broader solution development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years of experience in software testing principles, verification, and validation.
- Experience with test automation technologies and scripting tools such as Python, JavaScript, and C#.
- Understanding of network design principles, including TCP/IP and UDP; Class D and EMP message structures and packet analysis are preferred.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB is preferred.
- Experience with requirements-management tools such as IBM CLM and DOORS Next Gen.
- Experience with systems design, segment testing, and integration testing.
- Railroad, locomotive technology, railroad operations, hardware, software, communications, or infrastructure experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and Wabtec leadership and work in a cross-functional global environment.
- Willingness to adopt AI-assisted engineering and testing tools and data-driven approaches to improve automation, defect analysis, productivity, and workflows is preferred.
