Lead Software Engineer- Java - JPA
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, reviews, and debugs secure, scalable production software.
- Builds and maintains performant Java, Spring, and JPA microservices.
- Delivers system design, application development, testing, automation, and operational stability improvements.
- Leads adoption and validation standards for approved AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and remediation practices.
- Evaluates vendor and internal architectural designs and leads software engineering communities of practice.
- Promotes diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and respect within the team.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Extensive experience designing and developing scalable, performant microservices using Java, Spring, and JPA.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, automation, continuous delivery, and operational stability.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of application resiliency and security.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations, including coaching engineers on compliant adoption.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Preferred: applied AI and AI Ops experience and full-stack development experience.
