Base Salary
$98k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Design and develop C++ Capture components for business-document capture, processing, and recognition.
- Own end-to-end design, development, validation, test automation, deployment, and production support.
- Work with Quality Development to review test plans and test cases.
- Provide technical guidance for major software initiatives, technology standardization, and modernization.
- Provide technical team leadership by distributing tasks, tracking progress, assessing technical risks, solving problems, escalating risks, and reporting status.
- Perform assigned work with minimal supervision.
- Respond to bug reports and customer escalations promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of enterprise software development experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience using Microsoft development environments and tools.
- Required expertise with C++ 11–23, cross-platform development using MSVC and GCC/Clang, CMake or equivalent build systems, and conditional compilation for Windows and Linux.
- Experience with Visual Studio Code, the C# development kit or another Linux-based IDE, and the GNU Compiler family or alternatives.
- Experience with Windows architecture, Windows services, Web API, and Linux platforms.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including SQL optimization and ORM technologies such as Entity Framework Core.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or related orchestration software, and Helm.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge and experience with Git version control.
- Expertise in crash-dump and core-dump analysis, memory and leak profiling, multithreaded race and deadlock debugging, data structures, operating systems, distributed systems, multithreaded programming, and performance optimization.
- Expert knowledge of design patterns and object-oriented principles.
- Experience with sockets and networking for client/server communication, profiling, performance testing, debugging, triage, and technical issue resolution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Desired experience with gRPC/Protobuf or similar RPC frameworks, modernization of long-lived native codebases, backward compatibility, native-to-managed interoperability, P/Invoke, COM/DCOM, C++/CLI, stable ABI design, and service boundaries between native and .NET components.
