Base Salary

$155k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop features across React and React Native clients and Java backend services
  • Own features end to end across frontend and backend systems
  • Build and integrate APIs, including payments functionality and third-party integrations
  • Optimize queries and relational database schemas for performance
  • Implement algorithms for monetary transaction evaluation, risk management, income verification, and predictive models
  • Scale customer-facing applications and internal tools for millions of users
  • Improve product functionality and internal automation to reduce customer-service workload
  • Implement interaction and motion design for improved user experiences
  • Automate visual testing and visual regression detection
  • Create new mobile and web clients for upcoming products
  • Contribute to data engineering, automation, availability, monitoring, testing, quality assurance, and deployment improvements
  • Participate in technical interviews and take-home assessments involving Java, React, testing, debugging, system design, and service architecture

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of industry experience as a software engineer
  • Experience owning features from start to finish across frontend and backend development
  • Experience using AI tooling efficiently and familiarity with AI tooling best practices
  • Experience building REST-based services and APIs, ideally with Java
  • Experience building end-to-end UI/UX features using React or React Native
  • Current knowledge of JavaScript language standards, including ES6 and beyond, and experience with TypeScript
  • Experience with SQL databases, including schema construction, migrations, and analytical queries
  • GraphQL experience is a plus
  • Kubernetes, Docker, or another container system experience is a plus
  • Quantitative skills or knowledge and experience in finance are a plus
