Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and delivery of cloud syncing and media management features for iOS and macOS.
- Write performant, concurrent, multithreaded Swift code for production applications at scale.
- Lead scoping, cross-team coordination, stakeholder communication, and execution for multi-quarter features.
- Collaborate with designers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to influence product direction.
- Build expertise in CloudKit, AVKit, and on-device storage while mentoring engineers and raising technical standards.
- Diagnose systemic performance bottlenecks across memory, I/O, networking, and database layers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience shipping reliable production code on iOS and/or macOS.
- Advanced Swift proficiency demonstrated through shipped frameworks, performance-critical systems, or large codebases.
- Deep expertise in cloud syncing architectures and media management technologies.
- Proven technical lead experience owning scope, cross-team coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong command of concurrency patterns and multithreaded programming with measurable correctness and throughput outcomes.
- Strong computer science foundations in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience.
- Preferred experience with CloudKit-backed features, developer-facing APIs, reusable frameworks, AVFoundation or AVKit, performance optimization, SQLite, Core Data, or PostgreSQL.
