Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for sensor, communication, SIGINT/EW, and cyber systems.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including requirements generation, hardware selection, design, implementation, integration, testing, and product release.
- Research and solve problems involving advanced waveform development, low-SWaP processing systems, specialized space communication payloads, and persistent signal surveillance.
- Use embedded development, debugging, scripting, version-control, and system-analysis tools in multidisciplinary program teams.
Requirements
- Engineer Level 2 requires a BS in science, engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of experience, or an MS plus 0 years; Principal Engineer Level 3 requires a BS plus 5 years, or an MS plus 3 years.
- Experience with C, C++, embedded assembly languages, embedded development environments, debugging and system-analysis tools, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Batch.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and familiarity with version-control systems and software-planning tools.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance before starting employment are required.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Top Secret clearance; embedded communications protocols such as SPI, I2C, RS-232, CAN, SpaceWire, and MIL-STD-1553B; DSP; GNU Radio or other SDR platforms; MATLAB/Octave; and embedded RTOS experience.
