Responsibilities
- Build and harden the lightweight, multithreaded, cross-platform C++ client runtime, beginning with macOS and expanding to Windows.
- Architect distributed systems for speed, resilience, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation at scale.
- Build a secure agentic harness for safe, high-performance execution.
- Own runtime reliability, observability, security, and performance across varied real-world hardware.
- Set technical patterns and standards for the endpoint codebase.
- Partner with ML engineers to embed the inference path and with backend engineers on configuration and telemetry.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall industry experience, including 6+ years shipping and sustaining production C++11 or later.
- Experience developing multithreaded, memory-conscious, cross-platform C++ code, with endpoint, client, or systems-software expertise.
- Strong distributed-systems fundamentals, including routing, failover, backpressure, graceful degradation, and failure-mode analysis.
- Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and performance profiling.
- Fluency with agentic coding systems and practical curiosity about agent harnesses such as Claude Code, Pi, and Codex.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to collaborate openly and transparently.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent required; MS in Computer Science or equivalent strongly preferred.
