Software Validation Engineer (Python)

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated software validation frameworks in Python.
- Implement object-oriented, multithreaded, and asynchronous test execution patterns.
- Interface test scripts with physical and simulated microcontrollers using Hardware-in-the-Loop methodologies.
- Validate Ethernet networking protocols and analyze traffic at the frame level.
- Support scalable infrastructure for machine learning model training, validation, and testing.
- Create and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and use Docker for containerized test environments.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams on test strategies, technical documentation, and design specifications.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience is required.
- Strong Python proficiency with experience in asynchronous programming, multithreading, and object-oriented design patterns.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and robust test code.
- Knowledge of Ethernet frames, VLAN tagging, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with CAN or Modbus embedded protocols.
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop testing or physical and simulated microcontrollers.
- Basic understanding of regression models, predictive analytics, and machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with Statistical Learning Theory or infrastructure for machine learning model training, validation, and testing.
- Experience setting up and scripting Jenkins pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git and Docker.
- Preferred experience with python-can, pymodbus, scapy, numpy, or scikit-learn.
- Preferred automotive or industrial automation experience.
- Knowledge of Linux system administration and Bash shell scripting is preferred.
