Base Salary
$98k - $146k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of advances in autonomy and robotics capabilities.
- Evaluate and improve the performance of AI and autonomous systems.
- Support adoption of autonomy and AI technologies on robotics hardware and cloud-based computing environments.
- Evaluate autonomy and AI solutions and provide sponsor guidance based on requirements.
- Work on computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, planning, human-machine teaming, and multi-robot systems.
- Build autonomous-systems capabilities in growth areas such as maritime autonomy, healthcare robotics, and space robotics.
- Support strategy for high-consequence autonomy applications, including assurance, test and evaluation, and societal implications.
Requirements
- Related bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and work experience, typically with less than one year of related experience.
- Academic project or work experience in robotics-relevant fields such as computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, planning, human-machine teaming, or multi-robot systems.
- Ability to articulate autonomy-specific challenges in perception, reasoning, behaviors, and collaboration and identify gaps.
- Familiarity with the state of the art and the challenges of developing robust autonomous and AI systems for real-world scenarios.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government security clearance and be a U.S. citizen for clearance eligibility.
- Preferred qualifications include practical knowledge of AI/autonomous-system simulation environments; understanding of federal AI and autonomy missions; experience with TensorFlow, MXNet, or Scikit-Learn; experience with ROS; and experience with C++ and Python.
- Preferred candidates demonstrate strong verbal, written, presentation, communication, independent-learning, and technology-adaptation skills.
