Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
- Learn and participate in software design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Create scripts to automate parts of the software development process.
- Use debugging methodologies to investigate the root causes of software issues.
- Prepare technical or functional documents and reports as needed.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Canada-based university bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge or experience with software engineering concepts, C/C++, Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Perl, Java, JavaScript, UML, operating systems, databases, cloud platforms, web frameworks, markup languages, defect tracking, testing, debugging, version control, security technologies, CPU architecture, embedded systems, or microcontrollers is encouraged.
Benefits
- Full-time 37.5-hour-per-week hybrid or onsite work in Calgary, Alberta, throughout the internship or co-op term.
- Available 4-month and 8-month terms from January 11 to April 23, 2027; January 11 to August 20, 2027; May 3 to August 20, 2027; May 3 to December 10, 2027; or September 13 to December 10, 2027.
