ML/AI Junior Compiler Engineer

- Design and implement AI/ML compiler technologies that optimize models for embedded hardware using C++ and LLVM.
- Develop compiler tool features for ARM- and RISC-V-based CPU cores.
- Collaborate with core architecture teams and internal compiler-tool users.
- Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of NXP-specific compiler features in a global development team.
- Optimize AI workloads through graph-level techniques such as fusion, tiling, and scheduling.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with exposure to Machine Learning, Edge AI, and Embedded Systems.
- At least 1 year of professional experience with compiler technologies.
- Experience with LLVM/MLIR, LLVM IR, Clang, the LLVM Pass Framework, optimization pipelines, code generation, and linkers.
- Experience with ML frameworks and software stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, MLIR, XLA, TVM, and TensorRT.
- Programming skills in Python and C++.
- Knowledge of graph compiler-pass optimization, model lowering, and efficient intermediate representations for AI workloads.
- Knowledge of embedded systems programming.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote, worldwide teams.
- Experience contributing to the open-source community is appreciated.
