Responsibilities
- Design and evolve performant backend services using Java and Spring in a hexagonal architecture.
- Participate in architecture decisions concerning scalability, multi-tenancy, observability, and distributed communications.
- Own the technical lifecycle from domain modeling and API design through deployment, production monitoring, and optimization.
- Design REST APIs and event-driven integrations with partners using REST, SOAP, gRPC, and messaging systems.
- Optimize relational data models in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Deploy and operate containerized services with Docker on AWS while ensuring resilience and observability.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready functionality continuously.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and LLM-based workflows to improve productivity and share best practices.
Requirements
- Initial professional experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
- Professional English is mandatory; Spanish is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and performance optimization.
- Confirmed experience with REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Good understanding of cloud-native architectures and containerized environments.
- Ability to work in high-availability, high-volume environments with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Experience with Kubernetes and advanced CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with TDD, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience with AI workflows or systems supporting ML/AI use cases.
- Knowledge of domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
