Base Salary
$123k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test functionality for iOS applications.
- Build software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and related use cases.
- Solve complex design, development, performance, caching, and user-experience challenges.
- Collaborate with developers and designers and participate in design and code reviews.
- Understand user requirements and create applications that support real-world field scenarios.
- Advocate for Apple and iOS development within Esri and at industry conferences.
- Help develop team skills, best practices, and iOS expertise.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of commercial software development experience.
- Proficiency with Objective-C and/or Swift, Xcode, and the Cocoa and Cocoa Touch APIs.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience addressing mobile application performance optimization and caching issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and independent-working abilities.
- Preferred: App Store submissions, protocol-oriented design, spatial or mapping applications, security, native hardware such as GPS or cameras, GIS, RESTful web services, Git, and a master’s degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field.
