Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and reusable test libraries for endpoint agent validation.
- Build automated tests for endpoint installation, upgrades, rollback, policy execution, inventory, monitoring, patching, remote actions, scripting, communications, and recovery scenarios.
- Develop functional, integration, regression, performance, resiliency, and system-level test automation across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.
- Validate endpoint agents, operating system integrations, MDM workflows, security frameworks, device management APIs, stability, performance, resource utilization, and security.
- Create large-scale regression suites and automation that expands coverage and prevents recurrence of production issues.
- Troubleshoot complex defects using log analysis, debugging, telemetry, and endpoint diagnostics, and support root-cause analysis with Support and Engineering.
- Use AI coding assistants and coding agents for test generation, code analysis, debugging, and automation maintenance, while validating AI-generated tests through engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA automation.
- Strong programming skills in C#, Python, Java, C++, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience building automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of at least one of Windows, macOS, or Linux and strong knowledge of operating system internals, including processes, services or daemons, filesystems, networking, security models, and privilege management.
- Experience testing endpoint agents, system software, security software, or device management products.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience with virtualization platforms and automated device provisioning.
- Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Apple MDM, Android Enterprise, or Linux device management.
- Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and operating system scripting technologies.
