Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy Generative AI systems and LLM-powered applications for enterprise search, document summarization, conversational AI, and related use cases.
- Build agentic workflows and task-specific AI agents that orchestrate tools, retrieval, and reasoning.
- Apply prompt engineering, fine-tuning, orchestration, and evaluation techniques to improve model performance, relevance, latency, and cost.
- Build and maintain ingestion, transformation, and ETL pipelines across structured and unstructured data sources.
- Develop and operate ML pipelines and MLOps workflows covering training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and model serving.
- Build reusable AI model components, services, APIs, retrieval workflows, embedding workflows, and vector-database integrations.
- Apply software engineering practices including testing, version control, code review, and clean code.
- Translate business challenges into AI solutions, support workshops and proofs of concept, and communicate model outputs and technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Guide junior engineers, contribute to technical decisions, and share knowledge across engineering and data science practices.
Requirements
- Education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical or quantitative discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in software, data, ML engineering, or data science, including hands-on LLM or Generative AI experience.
- Demonstrated success delivering data or ML pipelines and AI/ML solutions to production.
- Experience with exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, classification, regression, forecasting, or other data science fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, or Google Cloud Vertex AI.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with sound software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning such as LoRA, LLM orchestration, and agent frameworks.
- Experience building ETL and ML pipelines and applying MLOps practices, Docker, and model serving.
- Familiarity with pandas, scikit-learn, model evaluation, and experimentation workflows.
- Experience with or comparable knowledge of Palantir AIP, Azure ML, Microsoft Agent Framework, Power Automate, and Snowflake.
- Working knowledge of embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval systems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with IoT, edge analytics, smart building systems, Microsoft 365 Copilot, SharePoint, Power Platform, LLMOps, statistical modeling, experimentation, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, and enterprise LLM privacy and governance.
