Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure production infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Lead ECS-to-EKS/GKE container platform migrations, modernization initiatives, and microservice enablement.
- Architect and enable production-ready microservice applications with appropriate scalability and observability.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or related tools across multiple cloud providers.
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, performance, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.
- Define SLOs and SLIs, conduct blameless postmortems and root cause analyses, and improve incident response.
- Lead complex cross-team technical projects, managing timelines and technical dependencies.
- Mentor engineers and promote reliability, automation, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with security and compliance partners on infrastructure standards, IAM Federation, and Workload Identity.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and use incidents to improve systems and processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- 3–5 years of production Kubernetes experience, including EKS, GKE, and related ecosystem tools such as Helm and Karpenter.
- 3–5 years of experience with AWS and GCP.
- 3–5 years of experience using Terraform for multi-cloud infrastructure.
- 5+ years of coding experience in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience leading high-impact migration projects, particularly ECS-to-EKS/GKE migrations and microservice enablement.
- Experience implementing SLOs and SLIs, performing root cause analyses, and improving operational resilience.
- Strong experience with cloud-native distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, Linux systems, networking, databases, caching, observability, secrets management, security, and compliance.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience leading cross-team projects and mentoring peers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Prior experience in SaaS or high-scale cloud-native environments is a plus.
