Base Salary
$100k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models for core Snapchat products.
- Apply established machine learning techniques to well-defined real-world problems.
- Perform data analysis, model training, evaluation, and production deployment across the ML lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and teammates to implement and launch ML-driven features.
- Design and ship scalable services using AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows while maintaining code correctness, security, and production quality.
- Contribute to machine learning, ranking infrastructure, and system design efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science, or equivalent years of practical work experience.
- At least 1 year of post-bachelor's machine learning experience or a master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experience developing machine learning models for ranking, recommendations, search, content understanding, image generation, or related applications.
- Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
- Ability to solve ambiguous problems, prioritize work independently, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills and adaptability to evolving AI systems and tools.
- Preferred: advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with machine learning, ranking infrastructures, and system design.
