Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex customer issues across the NetApp ONTAP portfolio, with an initial emphasis on core analysis.
- Debug filesystem problems, identify root causes, and develop recovery approaches for data or systems.
- Examine system logs, system status information, memory dumps, and NetApp ONTAP source code.
- Communicate with support personnel, escalation managers, development engineers, and customers to resolve issues.
- Develop software fixes and enhancements for NetApp ONTAP.
- Provide occasional holiday or weekend coverage as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- 1–2 years of experience.
- Experience programming in C and debugging with GDB.
- Experience with shell or Python scripting.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to learn new technologies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
